Sixth Meeting of Cluster 1 of the EU-Ukraine Subcommittee on Economic and Other Sectoral Cooperation was held at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine

On October 26, 2021, the sixth meeting of Cluster 1 (macroeconomic cooperation, public finance management: budget policy, internal control and external audit, statistics, accounting, audit and anti-fraud) of the EU-Ukraine Subcommittee on Economic and Other Sectoral Cooperation was held at the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine for European Integration and head of the Ukrainian delegation Yuriy Draganchuk stressed the sustainability of reform steps of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the will to further implement systematic reforms. He also expressed gratitude to the EU side for political support of reforms in Ukraine.

"European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as the continuation of economic, technical, foreign trade, and financial cooperation with the EU remains one of the priorities of the team of the Government of Ukraine.

We are grateful to the European Union for the constant support of the reforms in our country. I want to thank you especially for the second tranche of the EU macro-financial assistance that Ukraine received yesterday. This is evidence of the high level of partnership between Ukraine and the EU "- said the head of the Ukrainian delegation Yuriy Draganchuk.

During the meeting, the participants discussed a number of issues, in particular the macro-economic situation in Ukraine and the EU and its development prospects, economic policy measures, cooperation in the financial sector, public finance management, etc. Also at the meeting, parties discussed the achieved results in the implementation of the agreements.

"Our meeting is an opportunity to discuss issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union. It is very important for us to be in a constant dialogue with our EU colleagues," noted Yuriy Draganchuk.

The parties stressed Ukraine's significant progress in many areas of reforms, and the importance of the EU support of Ukraine in the implementation of priority reforms.
