The Government Allocated UAH 6 billion to the Anti-COVID-19 Fund from Budgetary Savings

On December 14, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, at an extraordinary meeting, redistributed certain state budget expenditures envisaged to the main spending units for 2020 and increased the expenditures of the Anti-COVID-19 Fund by 6 UAH billion.

Thus, in order to prevent the spread and overcome the negative consequences of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 in Ukraine, it became necessary to increase expenditures of the Anti-COVID-19 Fund by saving state budget funds, which is projected by the end of 2020 under the relevant budget programs of main spending units.

According to the proposal of the 36 main spending units to reduce state budget expenditures by the end of 2020, it is suggested to make a balanced redistribution of expenditures of the general fund of the state budget envisaged to the main spending units for 2020.

It should be noted, as of December 10, 2020, the amount of allocated funds from the Fund under the general fund of the state budget is UAH 66 billion, the cash expenditures – UAH 45.5 billion.
