The Ministry of Finance welcomes the decision of the Parliament on the appointment of the new Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine

Today the Parliament of Ukraine voted for the appointment of Kyrylo Shevchenko as the Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

"We welcome the appointment of a new Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine. Prudent monetary and fiscal policies have become the basis for Ukraine's macroeconomic stability, which has allowed us to enter the global financial and economic crisis, caused by the spread of the coronavirus, with much stronger macroeconomic indicators than during the previous economic crises. We expect the continuation of prudent monetary policy and the constructive cooperation between the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in order to continue the policy of macroeconomic stability", - said The Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko.
