Statement of the Ministry of Finance regarding the postponement of the decision of the Executive Board of the IMF on the completion of the third review of the funding facility for Ukraine

The Executive Board of the IMF has slightly postponed its meeting dedicated to the third review of the Extended Funding Facility for Ukraine which was scheduled for Monday.

The only reason for the postponement of the meeting is the necessary calculation of the economic impact resulting from steps taken by Ukraine as a reaction to the blockade and the seizure of Ukrainian companies located on the territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions which are currently not controlled by the Government of Ukraine as well as to the recognition by the Russian side of “documents” issued on these territories.

“The clarification of these calculations is important for both parties to reach the maximal effectiveness of the Funding Facility. The necessary consultations have already started, we are going to finish them as soon as possible”, Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk said.
