Art on Money: the Ministry of Finance opened an Exhibition for the 30th Anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine

On July 1, the Ministry of Finance hosted the opening of the exhibition "Hryvna ART" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. 74 Ukrainian artists have presented their artwork on money, which were made in different techniques: painting, drawing, collage, assemblage, etc.

Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko congratulated the artists and guests of the event at the opening of the exhibition.

"I am glad to welcome the exhibition "Hryvna ART" to the Ministry of Finance. It is a great opportunity for us to demonstrate that art exhibitions and events can also take place in government buildings. People who work in the Ministry of Finance and our guests have the opportunity to get acquainted with the works, assess them, share their impressions. I am sure that the creative industry and Ukrainian talent helps to present Ukraine not only inside the country but also abroad"- said Sergii Marchenko.

Art on money is a relevant area of creativity in the world that popularizes national currencies. Ukrainian contemporary art demonstrates wonders of ingenuity.

Tatiana Vasylenko, the curator of the exhibition, expressed gratitude for the support of the project: "We are very pleased that the Ministry of Finance promotes Ukrainian art and supports our projects. I believe in the next year we will do even better, even more, powerful and creative works".

During the exposition opening, the authors of works could talk to journalists about their creative work and tell what inspired them to take part in the project.

The Ministry of Finance exhibition "Hryvnia ART" will be till August 2, 2021, and later - in other Ukrainian cities - Lviv, Odesa, Cherkasy, etc.

The project is scheduled to be completed in December, probably by an auction of works. The organizers of the exhibition are open to cooperation with galleries and other exhibition venues.
