IMF Mission Starts Policy Online Discussions with the Ukrainian Authorities

Today, November 11, online discussions of the European Department of the IMF start with representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine and other authorities.

During the mission, the parties will discuss the Program Monitoring with Board Involvement (PMB). The discussions are building on the findings of  meetings that took place in Vienna from October 17 to 20.

The Program Monitoring with Board Involvement will outline the directions of the monetary and tax-budgetary policies of the Government of Ukraine and the National Bank of Ukraine aimed at macroeconomic and financial stability, as well as present an estimation of Ukraine's external financing needs for 2023.

The program will also help Ukraine attract funding from donors and pave the way toward a fully-fledged Fund program.
