The Ministry of Finance will appeal the decision of the Kyiv Pechersk District Court on enforced recovery from PrivatBank of almost UAH 10 billion in favor of the companies of the Surkis brothers

The decision of the Pechersk Court made on September 2, chaired by Judge Vovk S.V., on the procedure for enforcing the decision to secure the disputed lawsuit of the Surkis brothers' companies on servicing deposits converted into the bank's capital during nationalization, aimed at the actual recovery of almost UAH 10 billion (USD 350 million) from the bank and adopted in violation of procedural law.

The Ministry of Finance does not agree with the decision of the Pechersk court to satisfy the lawsuit to recover from the bank USD 350 million in favor of the companies of the Surkis brothers and will continue to protect the interests of the state and the bank. The next step is to prepare an appeal against the decision announced today.
