The United States Intends to Provide Grant of USD 500 million to Ukraine

On March 31, Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko held an online meeting with U.S. Charge d'Affaires in Ukraine Kristina Kvien.

During the meeting, the United States representative confirmed her intention to provide Ukraine with USD 500 million in direct state budget funding. The finance will be provided on a non-refundable basis.

Sergii Marchenko thanked the U.S. for supporting our state during this difficult historical period.

"These funds are a grant, and this is especially important due to the need to think now about rebuilding the country after our victory. The United States once again demonstrates that they are our reliable friends and key partners", said the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

Also, Kristina Kvien noted the effectiveness of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine in maintaining macro-financial stability during the war.
