Banks Issued 1,795 Loans totaling UAH 4,272 million through State Guarantees on the Portfolio Basis

Within the framework of support of micro, small and medium enterprises in Ukraine through the instrument of state guarantees on the portfolio basis as of 01.07.2021, ten banks granted 1,795 loans for the total amount of UAH 4,272 million. Liabilities on principal partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis made up to UAH 2,010 million. It is about 51% of the total limit of guarantees in 2020 (UAH 3 billion 930 million).

At the same time, in June 2021, 229 loans totaling UAH 1,007 million were granted with a debt obligation of UAH 472 million.

JSC "Privatbank" is the leader by the number of loans issued  - 944 loans for a total of UAH 853 million, which is almost 100% of the limit of such guarantees issued by the bank in 2020. JSC "Oschadbank" has the second-largest amount of loans in the portfolio: 606 loans for a total amount of  UAH 1,764 million.

The biggest demand for the program is in Kyiv, where 113 loans of a total amount of UAH 371 million. In Lviv and Kyiv regions, which are in the top three, the figure is 126 loans (UAH 310 million) and 103 loans (UAH 290 million), respectively.

The largest number of loans by type of economic activity, partially secured by state guarantees on a portfolio basis, were issued in the areas of wholesale and retail trade (632), agriculture (516), and processing industry (257).
