Oksana Markarova steps down as the Government’s Commissioner on Investments

Today, the Cabinet of Ministers has released Oksana Markarova from her duties as the Government’s Commissioner on Investments that she has been executing since August 8, 2016.

This decision is in line with the legal requirement prohibiting the members of the Cabinet of Ministers to combine their public service activities with other employment, except for teaching, scientific or creative activity in their free time. Due to the fact that Oksana Markarova is now member of the Cabinet of Ministers as the designated Minister of Finance, her powers as the Government’s Commissioner on Investments had to cease.
