According to the preliminary data of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, in January 2023, the general fund of the State Budget received UAH 104,4 billion of revenues.
The main sources of the State Budget revenues were the following:
- value-added tax on goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine – UAH 24.4 billion;
- value-added tax on goods produced in Ukraine – UAH 11,8 billion (UAH 31.1 billion collected and UAH 19.3 billion reimbursed);
- personal income tax and military fee – UAH 11.3 billion;
- fee for the use of mineral resources – UAH 5.6 billion;
- excise tax on goods imported into the customs territory of Ukraine - UAH 5.3 billion;
- import and export duty – UAH 2.0 billion;
- corporate profit tax – UAH 1.2 billion;
In January 2023, the general fund of the State Budget received UAH 36.6 billion of international assistance.
Receipts of a single fee on obligatory national social insurance in the pension fund and social insurance funds in January of 2023 amounted to UAH 32,4 billion.
According to the preliminary data of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine in January 2023, the expenditures of the State Budget amounted to UAH 193.7 billion, including the expenditures of the general fund of the State Budget that were carried out according to the plan and amounted to UAH 183.6 billion, or 80.6% of the plan for the reporting period.
In January, the State Budget deficit amounted to UAH 72.3 billion, including the general fund in the amount of UAH 78.9 billion, compared with the planned deficit of the general fund of UAH 158.6 billion.
Actual state borrowings to the general fund of the State Budget in January 2023 amounted to UAH 160,1 billion.
UAH 41.4 billion, including UAH 2.6 billion in foreign currency (USD 40.2 million and EUR 29.4 million) was attracted for the financing of the State Budget from the placement of domestic government bonds.
UAH 118.7 billion (EUR 3.0 billion) of Macro-Financial Assistance in accordance with the Memorandum of Understanding between Ukraine and the EU dated January 16, 2023 was attracted from external sources.
Public debt repayments in January 2023 totaled UAH 12.8 billion, and debt service payments amounted to UAH 0.6 billion.
