Global Capital Bond Awards 2019: Ukraine won in two categories

GlobalCapital revealed winners of the 2019 Bond Awards at the annual awards ceremony in London. Ukraine ranked the second in the category "The most impressive CIS and former CIS issuer".

Yuriy Butsa, Government Commissioner for Public Debt Management, received the award and took the third place in the nomination "The most impressive CEE funding official"

The GlobalCapital Bond Awards have been awarded for the 12th year in a row and is the main award on the international bond market. The winners are determined by
questioning participants in the international capital market, which means that they reflect the opinion of the market itself.

"We are very pleased with this recognition from the participants of the international capital market. Despite the fact that the past year was very difficult for emerging markets, Ukraine managed to issue Eurobonds worth $ 2 billion. We remain responsible borrower and demonstrate success in public debt management. I would especially like to thank Yuriy Butsa, whose professional work is recognized by the international community and not only contributes to the financial sustainability of Ukraine but also improves our image in the international community, " said Oksana Markarova, Minister of Finance of Ukraine.
