Government Supported Draft Law to Increase State Budget Expenditures by UAH 1.4 billion for Counteracting COVID-19

June 16, 2021, during the meeting, the Government supported the draft Law on Amendments to the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021, which identified additional sources for the implementation of measures to prevent the emergence and spread of COVID-19.

The bill is balanced.

It proposes to increase the revenues of the Special Fund of the state budget by UAH 1.433 billion at the expense of revenues:

- excise tax - UAH 1.140 billion;
- VAT - UAH 230.0 million;
- from funds voluntarily paid by individuals - UAH 63.75 million.

To increase the expenditures of the Special Fund of the state budget by UAH 1.433 billion and direct them to the budget program "Measures to combat acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, and its consequences".

The bill is to be submitted to the Parliament of Ukraine for adoption.
