As of November 20, 2020, UAH 41 billion out of UAH 66 billion has already been spent from the Anti-COVID-19 Fund. This is 62% of the total amount.
UAH 7.8 billion out of UAH 18.5 billion was used for healthcare. In particular:
- UAH 4.2 billion (68.5%) out of UAH 6.1 billion has been spent on increasing allowances and surcharges for medical workers;
- UAH 1.7 billion has been allocated for the construction and repair of emergency departments;
- UAH 0.8 billion (20%) out of UAH 4 billion was spent on the provision the Health Ministry's laboratories and the purchase of personal protective equipment for medical workers;
- UAH 571 million has been allocated for the subvention to local budgets to provide hospitals with oxygen. In total, UAH 1.5 billion has been earmarked for these needs;
- UAH 0.5 billion (10.6%) out of UAH 4.7 billion was spent for the purchase of equipment for the emergency departments of hub hospitals;
- UAH 42 million has been spent on the purchase of ventilators (UAH 100 million was allocated).
UAH 9.4 billion out of UAH 11.7 billion was used for social protection. In particular, UAH 6.8 billion has been allocated to the Compulsory State Unemployment Insurance Fund and UAH 1.7 billion - to the Social Insurance Fund. In addition, UAH 0.8 billion was used for child benefits to individual entrepreneurs who chose the simplified taxation system and belonged to the first and second groups of single taxpayers.
As of November 01, 2020, according to the Ministry of Social Policy, 86,949 individual entrepreneurs received child benefits; unemployment benefits were transferred to the accounts of 467,662 people, and employers received funds to pay 354,148 employees of partial unemployment benefits for the period of quarantine. Material support was also made to 32,220 persons and temporary disability benefits were paid to 198,341 persons.
UAH 20.8 billion out of UAH 32.4 billion or 64% was used for measures to stimulate the economy. In particular, UAH 20.76 billion out of the envisaged UAH 31.45 billion, or 66%, has been allocated for the construction, reconstruction, repair and maintenance of public roads of state importance. As of November 01, 2020 the amount under contracts is UAH 23.4 billion. UAH 1 billion was allocated for state support of culture, tourism and creative industries, of which UAH 58 million or 5.8% has been used.
UAH 2.5 billion (92%) out of 2.7 billion was used for law enforcement.
UAH 324 million (50%) out of UAH 524 million, which has been allocated for the restoration of state budget expenditures that were reduced at the time of the Fund introduction, has already been used.
