On November 3, 2021, the 1000th agreement under the state program "Affordable Mortgage 7%" was signed.
The 1000th participant of the program is a married couple from Kyiv, an entrepreneur Olexander and a nurse in one of the hospitals in the capital Vera. The family bought a new apartment in a flat complex of a well-known constructor with a mortgage loan from Globus Bank.
"Our own apartment is not only a dream come true for us but also a new stage of life. Of course, we are happy: 7% is the percentage we can afford to pay. It is cheaper than renting an apartment. The bank quickly reviewed our documents and gave an affirmative answer. Thank you for such a great opportunity", - the couple shared their impressions.
To date, 1,000 loan agreements amounting to UAH 864.36 million have been signed within the framework of "Affordable Mortgage 7%". Altogether 1,423 applications to the authorized banks were received for the total sum of UAH 1 240.29 million. The weekly development of the program is from 4%.
"Just signed the thousandth agreement "Affordable Mortgage 7%". But the program is evolving, and we know that more mortgages should be signed this week. In addition, the number of conventional mortgages this year has nearly tripled from previous years. This indicates the recovery of the mortgage market, which was actually in a "frozen" state after the 2008 crisis. The Government has recently adopted changes to the regulations developed by the Ministry of Finance in order to attract more participants to the programs "Affordable Mortgage 7%" and "Affordable Loans 5-7-9." Now these state programs have become even more accessible to citizens", said Deputy Minister of Finance of Ukraine for European Integration, Chairman of the Council of Business Development Fund Yuriy Draganchuk.
Program "Affordable Mortgage 7%", initiated by the President of Ukraine, has fulfilled and continues to fulfill one of its important missions - to launch mortgage lending and create opportunities for Ukrainians to buy housing on acceptable terms. An additional goal of the program is to improve financial services for people, increasing construction, which in general gives a positive impetus to the development of the economy of Ukraine.
The program is implemented by the Business Development Fund (BDF) in the execution of the state policy, which is formed by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.
"The thousandth borrower turned out to be the client of a commercial bank, which is one of the leaders in providing "Affordable Mortgage 7%" loans. To date, under this program, BDF cooperates with 19 leading banks - both public and commercial, including those with foreign capital. The program is beneficial to both borrowers and banks. We continue to attract financial institutions to cooperate and consult them on improving the provision of services to the population, "- said the Executive Director of the Business Development Fund Andriy Gapon.
