The Government supported the decision to provide partial state guarantees for SME bank loans

On April 29, the Government supported legislative changes that provide access to financial resources to small and medium-sized businesses by obtaining loans with a partial state guarantee that have suffered financial losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guarantees will be provided by the Ministry of Finance for business loans issued by lending banks. The Government will determine the conditions of selection of banks and the procedure for providing such guarantees by separate decisions.

Providing partial state guarantees on a portfolio basis is a tool to help businesses. This will support the Ukrainian economy in a difficult period as well as allow businesses to develop and citizens to work.
