New general manager assigned for state-owned enterprise «Kyiv Offset Printing Factory»

Volodymyr Astapenko has got to work in his new position as the Director of the state-owned enterprise «Kyiv Offset Printing Factory». He was designated after a contest which had taken place in January and February 2016. State-owned enterprise «Kyiv Offset Printing Factory» is a specialized printing company producing forms of securities and strict reporting forms. The enterprise reports to the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

One of the key principles in the work of the Ministry of Finance is ensuring transparency and improving the quality of corporate governance at state-owned enterprises reporting to the Ministry. In line with this principle, after the contract with the previous director had expired, the new director of "Kyiv Offset Printing Factory" was selected in a contest conducted by the Committee for the selection of managers for state-owned enterprises reporting to the Ministry of Finance. The Head of the Committee is Deputy Minister of Finance and Head of the Ministry apparatus Oksana Markarova.

The Committees had to examine 11 applications. It also examined proposals of the applicants about the management of “Kyiv Offset Printing Factory” including their mid-term strategic development plans. Volodymyr Astapenko was selected as the best applicant.

The key tasks of the new director of “Kyiv Offset Printing Factory” include the efficient and profitable operation of the enterprise based on the diversified production, improved products as well as an effective marketing strategy and the expanded customers’ base.

Volodymyr Astapenko graduated from the State Kyiv University for Trade and Economics, he studied at the faculty for industrial management. His previous jobs include various managerial positions at Ukrposhta. He also worked as the first deputy Director of the printing company «Antologiya».
