Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk discussed the reform of the SFS with the IMF representative in Ukraine

On September 26, Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk met the IMF representative in Ukraine Gosta Ljungman.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of the comprehensive reform of the State Fiscal Service.

One of the key points of the meetings referred to the further steps in the SFS reform which will contribute to the full-scale change of the structure and the working principles of the SFS.

The parties agreed that the initiatives regarding the transformation of the working practices of the SFS must be implemented immediately. The first results of the implementation of the automated register for VAT refund pose a positive move forward in the tax area. However, further steps can’t be effective without structural changes in the work of the fiscal authorities.

The parties agreed to continue between Ukraine and the IMF as well as other international partners in regard to the reform of the SFS.
