Ukraine's Minister of Finance appoints Robert F. Conrad as an Advisor

Dr. Robert F. Conrad, an internationally respected economist and expert on taxation reforms, has been appointed as an advisor to Ukraine's Minister of Finance.

The Ministry continues to attract recognized international experts to develop efficient and business friendly tax systems for Ukraine. In February, the Ministry appointed former deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ivan Mikloš as an adviser on tax administration and public finance reorganization.

Dr. Conrad brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent 30 years advising over 40 countries on tax and natural resource policy. In this role, he will provide advice to the Minister on tax policy and overall institutional reform. Dr. Conrad first came to Ukraine in 1992 as Director of the US Treasury’s tax advisory program for Central and Eastern Europe and has advised the Ukrainian Government periodically since that time.Currently an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Economics at Duke University, where he specializes in public finance, Dr. Conrad is also a member of the IMF’s panel of experts and serves on the Advisory Board to the Natural Resource Governance Institute."We are pleased to have such an experienced specialist join our team.
