Minister of Finance Oleksandr Danyliuk met US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin

On January 12, 2018, as part of his working visit to the USA, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Danyliuk met Steven Mnuchin, the US Secretary of the Treasury.

The parties discussed the progress of the economic reforms in Ukraine, support of the USA for Ukraine, the policy of US sanctions aimed to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF as well as progress in fighting corruption and initiatives designed to improve the business climate in Ukraine launched over the three last years.

“We are grateful to the USA for enhancing their economic sanctions which pose an effective tool for halting the Russian aggression. Ukraine continues to implement reforms which deliver positive results and have already brought Ukraine back on the track of economic growth. We still have a lot of homework to make our economy strong and impervious to crises. The support of the USA is crucial for us on this way”, Oleksandr Danyliuk said.

US Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin assured that the USA will continue to support Ukraine in the implementation of its important reforms.
