The Government Simplified the Conditions for Doing Business with Regard to Licensing

Licenses for wholesale trade in excisable goods will be obtained in regional offices of the State Tax Service. On December 23, the Government approved relevant amendments to item 6 of the list of licensing bodies.

This normative act envisages:

o  providing the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service with the function of licensing the wholesale trade in ethyl alcohol, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, liquids, used in electronic cigarettes, and fuels;

o  types of economic activity, licensing of which is carried out by regulatory authorities, is supplemented by activities for the production, wholesale and retail trade in liquids, used in electronic cigarettes. This provision comes into force on January 1, 2021.

As of today, licenses for wholesale trade in excisable goods are obtained at the central office of the State Tax Service. The new provisions allow businesses to obtain such licenses in the regional offices of the State Tax Service, which significantly simplifies the conditions for doing business.
