The Government Approved the Logo and Certificate of the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO)

AEO status is a formalized mark of the highest trust in the company by the customs authorities.

An enterprise with the status of AEO gets the opportunity to apply special simplifications and use the benefits when completing customs formalities for the goods it moves.

The Government also recently approved the Procedure for Maintaining the Unified State Register of AEOs, developed by the Ministry of Finance and the State Customs Service, which will contain information on enterprises that received AEO authorization (name, USREOU code, location, and type of authorization), as well as the date of authorization or its revocation.

The AEO Institute was established by the World Customs Organization in 2005 through the adoption of the SAFE Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade (SAFE Framework). Today AEO programs are implemented in 97 countries. Another 20 are being implemented.

On July 29, 2020, the Government adopted a resolution developed by the Ministry of Finance jointly with the State Customs Service, which allowed the practical implementation of the program of authorized economic operators (AEO) in Ukraine.

For Ukraine, the AEO program is a tool to increase the efficiency of doing business, improve the marketing status of the company, which will be able to take advantage of AEO status.
