Ukraine Launches National Application of the New Computerized Transit System

The Ministry of Finance congratulates the State Customs Service on the successful completion of the NCTS pilot application project and the beginning of a full-scale national rollout of NCTS.

One of the features of the national implementation of NCTS is the use of a single customs declaration to declare goods for joint transit. Also, it's about the creation of opportunities for businesses to use special transit facilitation as an incentive for doing business virtuously.

National application of the NCTS for at least a year is one of the main prerequisites to obtain an invitation for Ukraine to accede to the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure.

Joining the Convention on the Procedure of the Common Transit Procedure will allow Ukraine to integrate into the general transit system, in which 35 EU member states, EFTA, United Kingdom, Macedonia, Serbia, and Turkey take part. Joining the general transit system will allow to speed up and improve customs procedures, reduce the cost of cross-border trade in goods, and more effectively counteract attempts at customs fraud.
