Sergii Marchenko’s Gave an Interview to TSN.ua

The Ministry of Finance has always supported expanding the scope of application of the cash registers. The successful implementation of the cash registers software allows to release entrepreneurs both additional financial and time costs. Application service is free - the State Tax Service of Ukraine has provided all the tools for this purpose.

Minister of Finance Sergii Marchenko has said about this in the large final interview with "TSN.ua".

"Cash registers is not just for entrepreneurs. It is first of all for consumers, citizens of Ukraine, competitive businesses. After all, a domestic producer who legally produces and sells products, suffers from a competitor, who does not account for the same products and uses an illegal advantage. The law is one for all. If we want to be a civilized state, we have to get used to pay taxes," Sergii Marchenko said.

To date, more than 4.5 thousand entrepreneurs took advantage of the free software application and registered 58.4 thousand cash registers. About 103 million checks were reported with their use. On average, this is a little more than 1 million checks per day and their number is growing every day.

Commenting on the impact of the next lockdown on business, the Minister stressed that we are talking about certain restrictions for some types of business, the KVEDs (Classification of types of economic activity) of which are clearly fixed and for which there are compensation.

"The state has prepared a compensation package to decrease the negative impact of the lockdown on the industries that are experiencing restrictions," Sergii Marchenko said.

Responding to the question regarding the concept of the land market, the Minister noted that the key objective is to preserve the domestic producer, to provide the support to domestic agricultural producers, small and medium-sized business, and farming.
